When therapy meets AFL
Founded by Occupational Therapist, Carlien Parahi and Australia’s Rugby Sevens Olympian Jesse Parahi, Sense AFL gives kids a safe environment where experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapists work with Trained AFL Players to help kids achieve success. We utilise a child’s strengths and their motivation to help them participate and be part of a community of their own.

Sense AFL is an AFL-based Occupational Therapy program for neurodiverse children, and children with disabilities who require support to be part of a team.
They use sensory and social benefits of AFL to help children develop their sensory, social, emotional, and physical skills, all while connecting them to their community.
Former captain Brett Kirk was on hand to help with the activities, while players Lachlan McAndrew and Aaron Francis also joined to put smiles on faces.

“What an incredible day of coming together and sharing the joy and benefits of AFL with our families," Sense AFL Co-Founder Carlien Parahi said.
"We are passionate about creating an environment where they feel supported and safe to participate in a way that’s meaningful to them.
"The Swans created the experience of a lifetime for our families and we can’t wait for the next.”
